Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

DuuBaDuu is a values-first matrimony platform. “We”, “us”, and “our” in this policy refer to the operators of the DuuBaDuu service. Contact: privacy@duubaduu.com.

2. What we collect

Account data: name, email, phone, date of birth, gender, password (hashed).
Profile data: location, education, occupation, family preferences, optional Wali / guardian contact, photos and other media you upload.
Verification data: identity documents you choose to submit for verification.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, device and IP for security and analytics.
Communications: messages you send through the platform.

3. How we use it

To create and operate your account and matches.
To verify identity and prevent fraud, scams, and abuse.
To improve matching, search results, and product quality.
To send essential service messages (account, security, payments).
To comply with legal obligations.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
We do not show your full profile publicly without your consent.
We do not inflate the community with bots, fake profiles, or purchased listings.

5. Your controls

You can pause or delete your account from settings at any time.
You can request a full export of your data.
You can change visibility for each profile field (public / verified-only / connections-only / hidden).
For EU/UK users, you have GDPR rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, and object to processing.

6. Security

Passwords are stored using bcrypt. Sessions are signed and rotated. Sensitive endpoints are rate-limited. We log security events for audit. We do not store payment card data — payments are processed by Stripe.

7. Data retention

Active account data is retained while your account exists. Deleted accounts are soft-deleted immediately (hidden from the platform) and hard-deleted after 30 days, except where law requires longer retention.

8. Children

DuuBaDuu is for adults of legal marriageable age in their jurisdiction, and never under 18. We will close any account we identify as belonging to a minor.

9. Changes

We will notify registered users by email at least 30 days before any material change to this policy.
